Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam 's industrial production value in October rose by
15.4 percent year-on-year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported on
Oct. 29.
As a result, the country's industrial production value increased 15.8

The October's increase was largely due to the rise of 22.1 percent in the
non-state sector and 17.5 percent in the foreign-invested sector, compared
to 3.6 percent of the State sector.
Industrial production in the first ten months of the year faced various
difficulties, including high input costs. However, the Government's tough
measures to curb inflation have proved effective and the rise of prices of
many materials has recently slowed down.-Enditem
