CHOIR-SAINSHAND ROAD WILL BE COMPLETED BY SEPTEMBER

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ While heading to Dornogobi aimag, the PM N.Altankhuyag got au fait with a process of running the 176,4 km Choir--Sainshand autoroad. The road's work began after a loan from the S.Korean's Export Import Bank had been received in 2006 but had to stop due to price increase during a contract period. Later, the work was resumed thanks to a project financed by the Millennium Challenge Corporation /MCC/ of USA and now is going with 70 percent. A director of the road project of MCC-Mongolia P.Batsaikhan said the work will be completed by this September. A construction of 176, 4 km paved road of Choir--Sainshand route was undertaken in accordance with MCC's "Guidelines of Procurement of Works and Services". 15 domestic and foreign companies submitted their bid and "LIG Engineering and Construction" LLC of the Republic of Korea was selected and awarded a contract on 21 May 2010.
