PREMIER IN DORNOGOBI

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The PM N.Altankhuyag is touring in Dornogobi aimag with a working visit on occasion of the 200th day of the cabinet for reforms. The cabinet is paying special attention to all provinces' development, and wants to change the aimags' centers into towns and soums' centers into contemporary settlement. It is time we reach concrete solutions and understanding by discussing everything thoroughly,” the Premier told the aimag's authorities. He got au fait with ways a general plan has been worked out of Sainshand soum, the center of Dornogobi. This aimag intends to establish associated factories based on an industrial complex, which will create jobs and improve the livelihood of people, the aimag's governor P.Gankhuyag said. His aimag can intensify its development by manufacturing value-added products thanks to its advantages like location, infrastructure development and wealthy mineral resources, he added. In frames of the state policy on ceasing a migration to the UB city, the industrial sector will be developed in localities, and Dornogobi is considered as one of them, and a related plan has been drawn, the governor said. Dornogobi is the province that does not receive grant-in-aid from the state and that has independent budget in terms of economy. By the 2012 performance, the locality budget accumulated MNT 18 billion, over-fulfilling the income plan by seven percent. With a population of some 60 thousand, the aimag accepted state investments of MNT 2.6 billion in 2009, MNT 30 billion in 2012, and MNT 76 billion in 2013. The Prime Minister is being accompanied by G.Denzen, a deputy head of the Cabinet Secretariat of Government; Ts.Baigalmaa, the Vice Minister of Construction and Urban Development; O.Ganbat, a head of the Customs Authority; by department heads of some ministries and others.
