Al Manae Wins Gold Medal in GCC Women Sport Games

Manama, March 09 (QNA) - Qatar's athlete Sara Ahmed Al Manae displayed high skills in the Javelin throw to win the gold medal at the 3rd GCC Women Sport Games in Manama on Saturday. Al Manae showed an impressive power of force to clinch the first place overall in the javelin throw final ahead of Hiba Hamoud (Oman) managed in the second place and the bronze medal went to Tahrir Saad from Kuwait. In the basketball event, Qatari team sparkled to book place in the final round to clash hosts, Bahrain after defeating Omani counterparts 79 13 in the semifinal match held on Saturday. Qatar women sport delegation is competing in seven games, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, Taekwondo, shooting, athletics and Athletics for disabled. The prestigious games bring together 839 individuals including 370 athletes, 160 administrators who represent five GCC nations. (QNA)
