Qatar Olympic Committee Organizes Diplomatic Day

Doha, March 03 (QNA) - The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) organized the Sports Diplomatic Day at its winter camp at Sealine Beach Area on Saturday. The event began at 8 AM and included football, volleyball, table tennis and billiard competitions in addition to entertainment activities for children. The Diplomatic Day was attended by the embassies of China, Costa Rica, Malaysia, Algeria, Japan, Cuba, Italy and Venezuela. Gao Youzhen, Chinese Ambassador to Qatar extended his appreciation to the QOC for holding the sports diplomatic day and stressed the importance of sport as a catalyst for bringing the world together. The QOC organizes the sport diplomatic day annually to boost its cooperation with embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions. (QNA)
