Arab Transport Forum kicks off in Cairo 2 Cairo

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency on the sidelines of the
Forum, Al-Suraiseri expressed pleasure of participating in the event
to share views with his counterparts and other participants on
compared experiences in many aspects of the transport sector, plans
and programs that would contribute to their promotion.

He underscored the importance of the transport sector as a
lifeline of development in all fields, adding that the provision and
modernization of infrastructure are essential to provide support for
the various sectors, promote production and exports, reduce costs and
make maximum use of the comparative advantages.
He pointed out that the improvement seen in the Arab
countries must speed up economic performance in improving the
investment climate in the transport sector through the development of
infrastructure and ways to link land, sea, and air networks and the
simplification of administrative procedures related to transportation
operations and investments in it.
