CUBA INTERESTED IN DEVELOPING ECONOMIC COOPERATION WITH AZERBAIJAN
Baku, 30 0ctober ,(AzerTAj)The Cuban government is interested in developing bilateral economic cooperation with Azerbaijan, said the country`s Ambassador in Baku Marcelo Caballero Torres.
According to the envoy, a second session of the Azerbaijan-Cuban intergovernmental
commission will be held in Baku in the first decade of November.
“A Cuban delegation led by co-chair of the commission, Minister Ricardo Cabrisas
Ruiz will come to Baku. Nearly ten projects covering culture, trade, sport, tourism
and energy spheres will be discussed during the visit” the Cuban Ambassador said.
Economic relations between the two countries entered a new era of development last
year. Trade between Azerbaijan and Cuba rose to nearly $165,000 in the second half
of the current year, while it was only $8,300 in the first half.
