WOMEN'S NATIONAL FORUM WILL RUN IN ORKHON PROVINCE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A national forum “Women's development policy-reform” will take place February 27-28 in Orkhon aimag. It will be co-organized by the Ministry of Human development and social welfare and the Erdenet mining corporation. It will be one of a series of the forum consultations that are run this Ministry in order to reflect in its human development complex policy opinions and ideas of every stratum of our society. The forum is to take place before the International Women's Day and as a preparation for the 57th session of the Commission on the Status of Women for elimination and prevention of all forms of violence against women and girls. The forum is expected to gather over 440 women of 21 provinces and nine city districts, as well as delegations of Orkhon province's administration, some donor-organizations such as UNFPA /United Nations Population Fund/, Ministries of Labor and of Health.
