Qatar to Host GCC-Wide Mathematical Olympiad in April

Doha, February 24 (QNA) - The State of Qatar will host next April GCC-wide Mathematical Olympiad. The competition aims to upgrade the educational level for students and teachers of mathematics. GCC students will participate in the competition, while a delegation from Yemen will be involved as an observer. The Olympiad's preparatory committee at the Supreme Education Council (SEC) presented the plan for hosting the Olympiad, in a meeting chaired by Director of the Evaluation Institute Dr. Hamda Hassan Al-Sulaiti. They discussed all aspects involved in the hosting of the Olympiad, particularly preparations for hosting the students and the delegations that will arrive to compete. (QNA)
