Vietnam works to raise rural people' income
Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnamese Government has formulated an action plan to
translate the Party resolution on agriculture, farmers and rural areas in to
action with the aim of increasing the income of rural people by 2.5 fold by
2020.
The government is set to deploy the building of three national programmes on
the modernisation of rural areas, climate change adaption and the training
of human resources for rural areas in addition to continuing implementing
existing national programmes tailored for rural areas.
The Government has assigned government ministries and concerned agencies to
develop related plans and programmes regarding land use planning,
particularly the utilisation of farming land, the perfection of the
agricultural sector's organisational and managerial apparatus, and the
revision and making of related laws.
In the action plan, the Government has also set the task to develop projects
on the protection and development of plantation, aquaculture, forests, trade
and health care in rural areas, hi-tech agriculture, agricultural insurance,
and a social welfare system for rural people.-Enditem
