Qatar Charity Concludes Intensive Training Program for Syrian Medics
Doha, February 23 (QNA) - Qatar Charity and Federation of Islamic Medical Associations concluded Saturday an intensive training program in first aid for 100 Syrian medics, in order to help them serve Syrians who need medical attention.
A statement released today said that the training course was one of Qatar Charity's efforts in trying to bridge the gap in a number of areas including trained Syrian medics in Syria. They added in their statement that training medics could become crucial in saving the lives of Syrians caught in the violence.
The statement added that the Charity has been focusing on the health aspect of its aid to Syria, in addition to food and shelter.
Qatar Charity contributed some QR13 million to the Syrian people in the health field alone. It ranged from providing medical equipment to joint replacement surgeries. (QNA)
