Iran, Georgia stress bolstering ties

Tehran, Oct 30, IRNA - Iran and Georgia discussed avenues for bolstering relations in all fields here on Wednesday.

Tsiklauri met with his Iranian counterpart Kazem Moussavi on the
sidelines of the 16th International Conference of Central Asia and the
Caucasus.

Moussavi said that Iranian and Georgian nations enjoy deep-rooted
bonds and expressed willingness of Iranian officials to expand all-out
ties with Georgia.

"Iran regards success of Georgian government and nation as its own," he said.

He added, "We should not let any factor cause doubt in amicable
relations between Tehran and Tbilisi."
The Iranian MP said that the two countries' parliamentary friendship
group plays significant role in promoting the level of mutual ties and
stressed the importance of exchanging parliamentary delegations.

Tsiklauri praised Tehran-Tbilisi ties and said both sides should use
their potentials to further expand bilateral relations.

He hailed Iran's stance on recent developments in Georgia.
