HOUSE OF COMMONS OF CANADA CELEBRATES MONGOLIAN LUNAR NEW YEAR

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia's Lunar New Year has been celebrated in the House of Commons of Canada. It was organized by the Embassy of Mongolia in Canada and the Senate and the House of Commons of Canada on February 13 in the House of Commons. The Speaker of the House of Commons, the Honourable Andrew Scheer delivered an opening speech. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Canada T.Zalaa-Uul spoke about relations and cooperation between the two countries, noting that the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic ties will be marked this year. The Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Jason Kenney congratulated Mongolia and its people on behalf of the Canadian Government and PM Stephen Harper. Present were Peter MacKay, the Minister of National Defense; Julian Fantino, the Minister of International Trade; Peter Kent, the Minister of Environment; parliamentary secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Deepak Obhrai, also the Mongolians who live in Ottava.
