SPEAKER GIVES INTERVIEW TO MEDIA

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Speaker of the State Great Khural Z.Enkhbold has given interview to the media such as several daily papers and Mongolian National Public Television, Eagle TV, NTV, Bloomberg and ETV. The Speaker talked about the laws adopted by parliament--on the 2013 state budget, the social insurance fund, the Human Development Fund; and highlighted the basic guidelines of 2013 fiscal policy. He also answered questions about the Oyu tolgoi investment agreement, a purpose of the official visit of Wu Bangguo, Chairman and Party secretary of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and the "Chingis" bonds. The Speaker stressed that the issues of the Tavan tolgoi and a contract with the Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (Chalco) were not raised during the visit of Mr Wu Bangguo, and said parliament must not intervene in the contract between Mongolia's government and the Chalco. "I have the same position on the OT matter," he added. Mr Enkhbold said that a decision on usage of money from the "Chingis" bonds will be made by the cabinet in accordance with a resolution issued by parliament.
