Economic Sector Gears Up for Qatar National Sports Day

Doha, February 09 (QNA) - The economic sector in Qatar is gearing up preparations and plans for the second edition of the National Sports day which falls this year on February 12. Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host in its headquarters next Monday a seminar entitled "The Role of Sport in the Economy". The seminar will focus on the investment in human as the basis for the development of society. Meanwhile, Qatargas will organize sports activities for employees and their families in many places within the state. The company has set up a committee to oversee the planning and preparations for these events and sports activities for staff throughout the day. The activities will include many popular sports, such as football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis and cricket. A special area was also allocated for children. For its part, RasGas Company Limited organizes eventful day of sports activities for its employees and their families in the playground of Aspire Zone Foundation to celebrate the National Sports Day. In collaboration with Aspire Zone, the company will organize many sport activities varied for different ages, including fitness exercises and football. It will organize specail activities for women and children. (QNA)
