QOC to Hold Sport Fitness Contest on National Sport Day

Doha, February 08 (QNA) - The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) in cooperation with LCC Fitness and Beauty Center will organize a weight- reduce Contest titled "Be Agile" on the sideline of the prestigious National Sport Day (NSD) on Tuesday. The contest - with cash prizes totaling QR250, 000 - is opened for male and female from different age categories who can register for the contest on the same day of the National Sport Day celebrations at the QOC area in Corniche and the Cultural Village (Katara). The participants in the one-year long contest will be distributed into 3 groups ( male) and 3 groups (female) where the final result and winners will be announced in the third NSD next year, according to QOC website. The NSD 2013 sport activities will take place at different locations across the country, including Cornish, Aspire Zone, Al-Rafe street and Barazan Olympic Park. These activities will reflect the importance of sports in our daily regular life and will have great role in providing us with health. The State of Qatar is one of few and pioneering countries across the globe allocates this prestigious National Sport Day for its nationals. QOC is doing huge effort to spread the sports, physical education and sustainable development among community in a bid to support the objectives of the Qatar national vision 2030. (QNA)
