“AZERBAIJAN ENDURES PERIOD OF LOSSES NECESSARY TO FILL”, ARIF MALIKOV

Baku, 29 0ctober ,(AzerTAj)- “The people of Azerbaijan again grieves and endures loss”, the Honored Art Worker of Republic, the People’s Artist of USSR, composer Arif Malikov told at the farewell ceremony to Muslim Magomayev at the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall today.

“Contrary to ordinary phrase “there are not irreplaceable people”, there are such
ones as Uzeyir Hajibayov, Gara Garayev, Fikret Amirov, Niyazi, Rashid Behbudov, and
now Muslim Magomayev, he underlined. “All of us endure the period of catastrophic
losses which is necessary to fill. The Azerbaijani people are talented, and I am
assured that in our country there will appear new Muslims. It is clear that they
will not replace him, but it would be desirable, that they have achieved the same
success. It is high time to think already of it, as we have no other way”.
“Muslim Magomayev is a fine example for youth, the sample for imitation. And it is a
good luck that we have his records which can become a training material for the
future singers. His creativity is a nice school”
