Baku, 29 0ctober ,(AzerTAj)- “Muslim Magomayev was born here, and here are his roots and consequently the decision on his burial in the homeland, in Baku, was true and wise”, Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfas Garayev told at the ceremony of farewell to great singer Muslim Magomayev in the Azerbaijan State
Philharmonic Hall.
All necessary decisions on perpetuation of memory of the legendary singer will be
adopted, he said. “The grandfather Muslim Magomayev and the grandson Muslim
Magomayev have made huge contribution to development of musical culture of
Azerbaijan. They have glorified Azerbaijan. In the Soviet times, in many respects
thanks to him Azerbaijan became known all over the world”.
