MUSLIM MAGOMAYEV`s FAREWELL CEREMONY ENDS

Baku, 29 0ctober ,(AzerTAj)A farewell ceremony of the great son of the Azerbaijani people, world-famous singer Muslim Magomayev ended at 16:00 on October 29 at the State Philharmonic Hall.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva attended the
ceremony and offered their deep condolences to family members and relatives of the
unforgettable musician.
An official part of the farewell ceremony was opened by acting Deputy Prime Minister
Elchin Efendiyev. Other speakers included Chairman of the Azerbaijan Union of
Composers, People`s Artist Firangiz Alizade; member of the Russian Public Chamber,
outstanding pediatrician Leoniod Roshal; film director, People`s Artist Eldar
Guliyev; Rector of the Baku Musical Academy, People`s Artist Farhad Badalbeyli; and
the Russian President’s special envoy on cultural affairs Mikhail Shvydkoi.
Following the ceremony, Muslim Magomayev`s coffin was taken to the first Alley of
Honors, accompanied by thousands of people.
President Ilham Aliyev accompanied the coffin for some time.
