Cancer Early Detection System Applied in All Primary Health Care Centres

Doha, February 03 (QNA) - The early detection of cancer system is currently being applied in all primary health care centres in Qatar, said Dr. Sheikha Sami Abu Sheikha, head of early detection of cancer at the Primary Health Care Department. In a press statement on the occasion of World Cancer Day - which falls on February 4, every year, Dr. Sheikha said that all cancer suspected cases are now referred by the doctors at the health centres to Hamad Medical Corporation HMC for further check up and diagnosis by specialist physicians. She noted that these efforts come in implementation of the recommendations of the National Strategy against cancer in the state.(QNA)
