MONGOLIA TO COOPERATE WITH SDC IN WATER MANAGEMENT

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian Ministries and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation /SDC/ signed a memorandum of understanding on January 30. This action is aiming to continue a cooperation in agricultural irrigation and improvement of water management in Khovd aimag. Present at the ceremony were Kh.Zoljargal, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, J.Batbold, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Nature, Environment and Green Development, and Mr Felix Fellman, representing the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation /SDC/. The sides will co-produce a project documents to implement a technical cooperation “Agriculture irrigation field of the Western region of Mongolia, support to water management” in six months to come. The two sides are to co-determine the cooperation's methods, financial needs demanded from Mongolia's government and the SDC, also effects of the project's strategical importance, its results, main activities, regions to include and so on.
