NEW AMBASSADORS APPROVED BY PARLIAMENT

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A plenary meeting of the parliamentary session supported Thursday the President's proposal on appointing and withdrawing Ambassadors to some countries. It means that Mr Altangerel Shukher has been supported as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Russian Federation, receiving 81 per cent votes of MPs; Mr Tulga Narkhuu--to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (83 percent votes); Mr Altai Zorig--to the Kingdom of Sweden (89.6 percent votes); Mr Dugerjav Lhamsuren--to Bulgaria (81.3 percent, and Mr Zumberellham Dorjdamba--to the Czech Republic (87.5 percent). Current Ambassadors are to be withdrawn--D.Idevkhten from the Russian Federation; B.Altangerel--from the UK; B.Enkhmandakh--from the Kingdom of Sweden; Ts.Gankhuyag--from Bulgaria; and S.Tsoggerel--from the Czech Republic. The Deputy PM D.Terbishdagva MP noted that the new Ambassador to Russia must pay great attention to developing the trade and economic with Russia and to forwarding the collaboration in other spheres. He also ordered the Ambassadors to the Czech Republic and to Bulgaria to study experience of these countries in introducing the European standards. The Ambassador to the UK should learn the country's latest technologies, he added. B.Khuder
