Iran, Turkey enjoy potentials for more bilateral cooperation: MP
Tehran, Oct 29, IRNA - Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Tuesday that Iran and Turkey enjoyed massive potentials to further promote cooperation.
Speaking in a meeting with Turkey's new ambassador to Iran, Salim Kara
Osman Oglu, Boroujerdi said that parliaments of the two countries
could also play a key role in promotion of bilateral ties.
Boroujerdi said Tehran and Ankara could have effective cooperation at
international and regional scenes particularly in the field of the
international campaign against terrorism in light of the common
grounds of the two nations.
Meanwhile, the Turkish diplomat said that expansion of bilateral ties
with Tehran was one of the major priorities of Ankara.
He handed over an invitation to Boroujerdi from Turkish counterpart to
visit Turkey.
Welcoming the invitation, Boroujerdi said that he would try to make
the visit as soon as possible.
