Ministry of Culture's Short Movies Workshop Continues on Second Week

Doha, January 23 (QNA) - A short movies workshop held by the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage's Youth Activities and Events Department has continued for the second week under the patronage of HE the minister Dr. Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari, with a participation of 30 Qatari male and female youths. The workshop, which lasts for 40 days, aims to develop the talents of Qatari youth in making short movies, with participants already starting to work on their movies. The department's director Abdulrahman bin Mohamed Al-Hajeri on Wednesday said the overwhelming interest in participating in the workshop, especially from girls, demonstrates Qatari youths' aspiration to gain different experiences and skills technically and culturally, which reflects on their level of creativity and helps in achieving the national vision's objective of creating productive and creative generation. He said that the workshop aimed to enhance the participants' skills and talents in producing movies according to a scientific methodology, along with training them on the use of specialized programs in the field such as Movie Maker and Power Director, in addition to increasing their motivation and the desire to learn and acquire new skills that serve their professional experience.
