PRESIDENTS CALL PRESS CONFERENCE ON STATE VISIT

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Mr Ts.Elbegdorj and the President of Poland Mr Bronislaw Komorowski gave Tuesday a report on the state visit of Mongolia's leader after several documents on the bilateral relations and cooperation had been inked. Thanking the Mongolian President for visiting Poland, Mr Komorowski noted that the Mongolia-Poland relations have a long-year history, and that the countries have been developing their ties and cooperation and co-participating in the strengthening of the democracy. Our countries are developing in the similar ways of values and fortune, the most important thing is to develop together in a democratic way, Mr Komorowski said, hoping that the bilateral relations will be brought into a new level by an intensive governmental actions. Mr Komorowski believes that the cooperation documents and a business forum, held with participation of Mongolian and Polish businessmen, will significantly contribute to forwarding a development of the two countries. He underlined that re-opening the Polish Embassy in Ulaanbaatar might be a way of intensifying the relations and cooperation. In turn, Mr Elbegdorj said he is glad to visit Poland. The Polish made the historical exploits in the 20th century for the sake of their freedom and democracy, the Mongolians always highly value these deeds and thank the Polish people for sharing their experience, Mr Elbegdorj emphasized. Mr Elbegdorj said his country considers Poland as its one of the Third neighbours and reliable partner in the European Union (EU), and hoped his visit will contribute to the bilateral relations. “Our peacekeepers have served successfully in the peacekeeping operations. I am really confident that the countries will develop the collaboration in the economic, education and other spheres,” he said. After this, the leader of Mongolia laid wreaths at the Pilsudski Square in Warsaw, and met with Mongolian and Polish troops who served in peacekeeping operations. B.Khuder
