European Union's Aid to Yemen discussed

SANA'A, Oct. 28 (Saba)- Minister of Planning and International
Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi discussed on Tuesday with European
Union's Foreign Relations Officer development assistances the EU
provides to Yemen for 2007-2013.

The meeting dealt with Yemeni programs receiving aids fro the EU,
especially institutional support and enhancing decentralization,
health sector, social care and other development sectors.

The two parts discussed possible support to Yemeni economy to be
integrated with of GCC countries. They also reviewed current
preparations for following up results of London conference and
preparations for holding meeting of Yemeni-EU joint committee
scheduled next year in Brussels.

The EU official showed the union's readiness for providing support
and assistance for curing effects of floods catastrophe in Yemeni
eastern areas.
