Justice Minister Meets UN Officials

Doha, January 22 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Justice Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim conferred today with Regional Representative for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Massoud Karimipour, and UN representative and head of the GCC Office Hatem Fouad Ali on the margins of the Third Doha Forum on Combating Human Trafficking, currently held in Doha. During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing cooperation between Qatar and the United Nations in the fight against trafficking in human beings, especially under the initiative of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser to build national capacity in the field of combating trafficking in human beings. The United Nations Office lauded the initiative, and the parties agreed on a new mechanism to follow up the initiative in coordination with the Arab League. The meeting was attended by HE Chairman of Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking Dr. Abdullah Al Mal, and General Manager of Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking Mariam Al Malki.
