STATE SECRETARY VISITS QATAR

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade G.Tsogtsaikhan paid a working visit to the State of Qatar January 19-20. Mr Tsogtsaikhan met with Assistant Foreign Minister for International Cooperation Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Jabor Al Thani to share views on several matters such as tendencies of the Mongolia-Qatar relationship, the bilateral cooperation, Qatari Emir's official visit to Mongolia, a cooperation between the two Ministries of Foreign affairs. After this they touched upon international issues of mutual interest. G.Tsogtsaikhan presented a draft of the memorandum of cooperation which will be established between the two Ministries, and suggested that the Qatari side set up its group at the Mongolia-Qatar Intergovernmental commission. In response, the Qatari side said it will study this proposal. Mr Tsogtsaikhan informed about the Ministerial Meeting of the Community of Democracies /CoD/, which will run in Ulaanbaatar this April, and expressed confidence that the Qatari high level representatives will participate in the meeting. Apart of this meeting, there was another one, with Major General Hamad Bin Ali Al Attiyah, the Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces. Ch.Enkhtuya
