Qatar Al Gharafa Club Sign French Striker Cisse

Doha, January 20 (QNA) - Qatari side Al-Gharafa have signed Djibril Cisse on loan from Queens Park Rangers until the end of the season, the club announced Sunday. Cisse passed a medical this morning and Al Gharafa's Director of Football Soud Fath said today that the club will rely heavily on Cisse to bolster their attack. Fath revealed that Cisse was the pick of the club's coach Alain Perrin. For his part, Cisse expressed his delight at being in Qatar and playing in the Qatar Stars League. The Frenchman said that he was fit and raring to start playing for his new team. Cisse is still Liverpool's, England's most decorated club, most expensive signing in history. He scored one of the spot kicks in the penalty shootout that gifted Liverpool the 2005 Champions League title. He has also played for Lazio in Italy before joining Queens Park Rangers. (QNA)
