Advisory Council Speaker Leaves for Sudan to Participate in ICO's Parliaments 8th Session

Doha, January 20 (QNA) - HE Speaker of the Advisory Council Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Kholaifi and his accompanying delegation left Doha Sunday for the Republic of Sudan to participate in the 8th session of the Parliamentary Union of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Conference, due to kick off on Monday. The 8th session of the conference will discuss topics tabled on its agenda, including the election of members of the bureau and Secretary-General's report as well as nomination of members of the General Committee and the Executive Committee of the Union for the year 2013. The conference will also study and adopt reports and draft resolutions submitted by rapporteurs of specialized committees on presented topics, including Al Quds Al Sharif, the Palestinian issue, the occupied territories in Syria and Lebanon and the threats facing Sudan.
