Business forum held for Swedish investors
Hanoi (VNA) - A Vietnam-Sweden business forum took place in Hanoi on October 28, becoming the first event of its kind in the Southeast Asian country.
The forum, held by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), was
aimed at introducing the Vietnamese business environment and investment
opportunities to more than 10 Swedish companies.
The Swedish participants were major entrepreneurs working in finance,
banking, medical equipment, construction, real estate and
telecommunications, including SEB, Handelbanken International, SKF, Gambro,
Cybercom and Getinge.
There is a good prospect of trade and investment between Vietnam and
Sweden , VCCI Vice President-cum-General Secretary Pham Gia Tuc said, adding
he believed that Vietnam will always be an attractive, promising and
sustainable market for Swedish investors and entrepreneurs.
Swedish Ambassador Rolf Bergman said currently, cooperation between Vietnam
and Sweden is focusing on tourism and culture and he hoped that in the
future, businesses of the two countries will push up their investment and
expand trade relations.
While in Vietnam , the Swedish businesses are scheduled to work with the
Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the
Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City People's Committees and member businesses of
the European Chamber of Commerce to learn more about the local
