HEALTH MINISTRY AWARDS WHO EXPERT

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ministry of Health awarded Thursday its Medal of Honor to Dr Luo Dapeng, a Medical Officer on Communicable Disease Surveillance and Response at the World Health Organization (WHO) Permanent Representative Office in Mongolia. Dr Dapeng is awarded with the prize for his significant contribution to combating against infectious diseases and preventing it in Mongolia. From the year 2006, he has successfully realized several programmes on combating infectious diseases, for example, he contributed to implementing the Asia-Pacific strategy in Mongolia on newly arising infectious diseases. He also has done great works for strengthening abilities of the social health sector, for establishing a reconnaissance system of early detection and fortifying the human resource for these.
