INDIAN PRESIDENT RECEIVES MONGOLIAN FM

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In a scope of his official visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Bold was received Thursday by Pranab Mukherjee, the President of the Republic of India.
The Foreign Minister briefed to the India's President a present socio-economic situation in Mongolia and opportunities of widening the Mongolia-India relations. He noted that the bilateral political ties have been strengthening with joint valuables of democracy, human rights and freedom, and expressed a willingness of Mongolia to closely cooperate with India in fortifying the democracy in the region.
In turn, Mr Mukherjee expressed his satisfaction with the Mongolian Ministry, highlighting that Mr Bold was the first guest from Mongolia visited to him after taking the duty of Indian President. “The democratic valuables play an important role in our countries' relations and cooperation despite the long distance between the countries and diversity of population,” Mr Mukherjee underlined.
The same day, the Foreign Minister L.Bold held a meeting with Ms Preneet Kaur, the India's Minister of State for External Affairs. “The President of Your country has accepted an initiative of the Mongolian President on cooperating in distribution of the education for democracy and strengthening democracy in the region in frames of the Community of Democracies (CoD). I am really happy for this,” L.Bold said, expressing thanks to the India's side for hosting an Asian regional conference on the matter in Delhi.
The sides expressed their satisfaction with a successful development of the bilateral ties in all spheres, and agreed that expanding the mutually-beneficial economic cooperation will contribute to developing the Comprehensive partnership relations. In addition, the sides agreed to forward specific projects being realized within the bilateral cooperation such as on establishing a Mongolia-India joint school and an IT and outsourcing center, and to support each other in frames of international and regional communities.
The Minister L.Bold met with Mr Ajit Singh, the Minister of Civil Aviation. L.Bold underlined an importance of the air transportation ties for facilitating the visiting terms of people and increasing number of tourists.
Moreover, the Minister received Honorary Consuls of Mongolia in Mumbai, Calcutta, Chinai cities of India, and in Nepal and Bangladesh. He granted to them the 100th Jubilee Medal of Mongolian Diplomatic Service. He also discussed issues with Ms Najma Heptulla, a member of the Council of States (upper house of the Parliament of India) on the regional cooperation and the collaboration between legislative bodies.
