FACTION OF DEMPARTY MEETS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The faction of the Democratic Party (DP) discussed Monday at its meeting draft amendments to the laws on State Great Khural, on national security and on media freedom, also draft laws on lands, on land payment and on land ownership. The law on land ownership allows people to have own lands, but it has been proven that it affected the land exploitation, protection and even the national security, thus the faction has set up a working group with five people to see the above draft amendments. In addition, the Ministry of Economic Development introduced its "Street" project and infrastructure renovations to be done in frames of the project. To be co-implemented by five Ministries, the project aims to renew autoroads in the city, to realize it with financing from the "Chingis" bonds and from the Development Bank of Mongolia (DBM). The project was backed by the faction, its head D.Erdenebat said. The faction heard decisions made at the cabinet meeting last Saturday and reports on measures being taken for the civil registration. Next week, the faction will hear a report from the Ministry of Industry and Agriculture on a co-operative programme. B.Khuder
