MUSLIM MAGOMAYEV WAS BELOVED BY UKRAINIANS, ANATOLI SOLOVYANENKO
Baku, 28 0ctober ,(AzerTAj)A well-known Ukrainian director, people`s artist, popular opera singer Anatoli Solovyanenko`s son of the same name Anatoli Solovyanenko recalls Muslim Magomayev as a dear friend and colleague of his father: “Muslim Magomayev`s demise is an irreplaceable and very hard loss for the whole opera world.
Brilliant talent of Muslim Magomayev has won hearts of million admirers. In Ukraine
he was also beloved. As to me, I will never forget our last meeting. Despite of long
and exhausting flight to Ukraine, he felt his duty to visit my father`s grave before
the concert. And several hours later, he has given unforgettable recital at “The
Ukraine” hall”.
As early as 1998 Kiev National Philharmonic Hall hosted a party, organized by
Azerbaijan Embassy to Ukraine on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of national
leader Heydar Aliyev. The party included a concert, featuring Muslim Magomayev and
Anatoli Solovyanenko (elder).
