‘IT IS HARD TO LOSE SUCH A DEAR PERSON, AS MUSLIM’, NANI BREGVADZE

Baku, 28 0ctober ,(AzerTAj)Untimely passing away of eminent Azerbaijani singer Muslim Magomayev distressed his Georgian colleagues.

“It’s very hard to lose such a dear person, as Muslim Magomayev was”, popular
Georgian singer Nani Bregvadze told AzerTAc. “This is an irreplaceable cultural
loss… I present my deep condolences to whole Azerbaijani people and to the family of
Muslim”, she said.
This sorrowful news troubled both Azerbaijani and Georgian people, because Magomayev
was beloved both in Azerbaijan and in Georgia, according to Vice-President of
“Georgia-Azerbaijan Home of Friendship” Georgi Sturua. “It is therefore not by
chance that national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev has given him a State Prize
of Azerbaijan”, he added.
Artistic Director of Tbilisi Azerbaijan Drama Theatre Gocha Kapanadze expressed his
deepest sorrow with Muslim Magomayev’s demise: “The great singer and prominent
figure passed away... He loved music, art and stage best of all... May God rest his
soul in peace”, he said.
