IDB helps rain-affected people with YR 150 million
SANA'A, Oct 27 (Saba) - The Islamic Development Bank IDB has
donated YR 150 million to support the people affected by heavy rains
and floods in the eastern provinces of Hadramout and Maharah.
Chairman of the bank board of directors Abdul Jabar Hayel Saeed said
the sum comes as contribution to the relief efforts and to house the
affected.
Recently, heavy rains lashed several parts of the republic and left
more than 60 people dead and missing in the provinces of Hadramout
and Maharah and some of southern provinces.
An emergency committee was set up to take responsibility of
delivering aid to the affected areas.
Efforts to help the affected with erecting tents and supplying food
aid continue with support from foreign countries and organization.
