Arrangements to implement water sector support program discussed

SANA,A Oct. 27 (Saba) - Minister of Planning and International
cooperation Abdul Karim al Arhabi held talks on Sunday with World
Bank mission on water sector support project in Yemen for 2009-2013
over institutional arrangements to implement the project and revise
its financial needs and obligations of financers.

The talks focused on institutional arrangements to implement the
project and revise its financial needs and obligations of
financiers as well as up-to-dating water sector strategy along with
the program of support water sector in Yemen.

The meeting also approved the setting up of a committee from the
ministries of Planning, Water and Environment, Agriculture and
Finance, and the general authority of water sources and general
authority of rural water projects to work with donors to finalize
the final evaluation document for the program of water sector
support to start negotiations for getting financial support from the
World Bank and donors.
