Qatar Olympic Committee Wins Creative Sports Award

Dubai, January 06 (QNA) - The Qatar Olympic Committee added Sunday another achievement to its portfolio after it won the Creative Sports Award for hosting the Arab games, which was held in December 2011. During the award's ceremony, 16 different institution and players were honored for their contribution. HE Secretary-General of the Qatar Olympic Committee Sauod bin Abdul-Rahman Al Thani received the award from Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, with Emirati Chairman of National Olympic Committee Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attending. HE the Secretary-General expressed his delight for winning the award. HE Sheikh Saoud expressed his thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Hamdan for the efforts in honoring distinguished sporting personnel and institutions. (QNA)
