Doha to Host Sixth Gulf Conference for Quality

Doha, January 06 (QNA) - The State of Qatar will host on January 29 the Sixth Gulf Conference for Quality "Quality and Institutional Development" which will be organized by the Gulf Centre for Development, with the participation of quality experts form the GCC countries. Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO) announced its support as the golden sponsor of the Sixth Gulf Conference for Quality during a press conference held at the company's headquarters on Sunday. During the conference, the Vice Chairman and CEO of QAPCO Dr. Mohamed Yousef Al-Mulla expressed the company s vision through quality management services. He praised the conference as a very important meeting not only to the company but for the whole industry in the Gulf, stressing on QAPCO’s commitment in the application of quality systems and achievements towards perfection. Dr. Al-Mulla also highlighted the constant support for quality management and institutional development benefits on the industrial, the financial, health, service and education sectors, taking the chance to address the importance on educating upcoming graduates and trainees as the successful future. He said that QAPCO considers safety, health and environment besides the production quality to be an integral part of the professional ethics in developing business strategies, pointing out that the company would not have accomplished these achievements without the customer’s satisfaction with work system, quality management and control tools. The president of Gulf Centre for Development (GCD) Mr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Kuwari praised the role of QAPCO for its support as "Gold Sponsor" of the Sixth Gulf Conference Quality (Quality and Institutional Development), saying that it confirms QAPCO’s commitment in the application of quality systems through sponsoring events that aim to promote the culture of quality. In his speech, Al-Kuwari said that the Gulf Conference for the quality of this year aims to promote a culture of quality, highlight the most important factors in the development of corporate performance and present the distinct experiences of local and Gulf institutions and organizations in applying the quality principles as a tool for institutional development through work papers that cover the industrial, financial, health, service and education sectors. He called on business leaders and university students to participate in the conference in order to have a real chance to get acquainted with the achievements and successes of the Qatari and Gulf companies accomplished by applying international quality systems, and to familiarize with the best practical means to achieve leadership in the business and consumer satisfaction. Al-Kuwari also invited all Qatari and Gulf companies to update their information in the database of Gulf companies certified for ISO, adding that GCD is in the process of printing the fifth edition of the Gulf ISO-Awarded Companies Guide, which will be handed out at the conference.
