QOC Secretary General Meets Lebanese Youth and Sports Minister

Doha, January 02 (QNA) - Qatar Olympic Committee Secretary General HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Wednesday met with Lebanese Youth and Sports Minister Faisal Karami, along with the delegation accompanying him on a visit to Doha. HE QOC secretary general welcomed the Lebanese guest, wishing him a good stay in Qatar, pointing to the excellent relations between Doha and Beirut in all aspects and particularly in the sports field. Karami hailed the significant sports renaissance in Doha, especially with regards to state-of-the-art facilities, which qualified Doha to be a capital of sport and be home to global events that take place in the Middle East and the Arab world for the first time. The meeting also discussed Lebanon's organization of the next Arab Games and how to benefit from Doha's experience in this area after hosting the 12th edition in 2011. The Lebanese minister expressed gratitude to the State of Qatar for its constant support for the sports and youth sector in his country, adding that he is pleased to benefit from the Qatari experiment and expertise in hosting the Arab Games.
