Yemen, IMF review poverty alleviation
SANA'A, Oct. 27 (Saba) - Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Amat
al-Razaq Hamad held talks on Monday in Sana'a with International
Monetary Fund (IMF) mission headed by Nour Shanadir over cooperation
ties between Yemen and IMF in poverty combating .
The meeting discussed policies being followed by the government of
Yemen to alleviate poverty which represents the importance in the
light of current world financial crisis.
Procedures followed by the ministry to target poor people and means
of improving mechanisms to deliver aids easily through Social
Welfare Fund were also reviewed in the meeting.
