Iran, Iraq to broaden cultural cooperation

Visiting Iranian Vice President Mohammad Javad Ali Akbari here on
Sunday met the Head of Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council (SIIC) Abdul Aziz
Hakim to discuss the latest developments in Iran and Iraq relations.

At the meeting, the two sides reviewed avenues to further bolster and
consolidate ties between the two countries mainly in youths affairs as
well as exchange of cultural goods.

The Iranian envoy hoped that the visit would prepare grounds for
expansion of relations between the two countries in various fields.

At the end of the visit, the two countries are to sign a memorandum of
understanding (MoU) on expansion of cooperation in youths as well as
sports.
