IMF's mission inspects civil service updating project

SANA'A, Oct. 26 (Saba)- Minister of Civil Service and Insurances
Yahya Ashuaibi informed Sunday International Monetary Fund's mission
on results achieved by Updating Civil Service Project .

In the meeting held on Sunday with the delegation, Ashuaibi
clarified that the aims of implementing the forthcoming phase of the
project would be assigned for reshuffling civil service's units and
organizing their systematic and functional situations.

He indicated that the National Strategy for Wages and Pensions for
2008 has cost more than YR 474, 1 billion, representing 9.55 percent
of gross domestic product and 25.93 percent of the total
expenditure.

For his part, head IMF's mission highlighted achievements of the
ministry in field of updating civil service and reviewing its duty
and role and reforming their units.

He affirmed that the achievements reflect administrative thinking
has been able on making changes. He renewed fund's assertion on the
Yemeni government to continue efforts in field of reforming
administrative system
