As many as 990, 497 Umrah performers used Madinah International

Madinah, Oct 26, SPA -- The number of visitors and Umrah (minor
Hajj) performers who either arrived or left via Prince Mohammed bin
Abdulaziz international airport since the beginning of the lunar
month of Rabee al-Thani 1429 AH up to half of the current lunar month
of Shawal,1429 AH, amounted to 990, 497.

Out of this number, 842,155 came to Madinah from different countries
of the world.

On the other hand, the number of the arriving and departing flights
amounted to
148, 342.

In a statement to The Saudi Press Agency, Eng Abdel-Fattah Atta, the
Director General of the airport, said that the required arrangements
have been made to facilitate the arrival and departure of the guests
of Allah.


He expected that the airport will receive during this year's Hajj
season more than
2, 500 flights carrying more than 750, 000 pilgrims from various
countries of the world with the participation of more than 30
international aviation companies.
