W NUSA TENGGARA PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS IN AGRICULTURE, MINING
Mataram, Indonesia, Oct 26 (ANTARA) - The administration of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) province was reported to have provided scholarships for prestigious college students majoring in agriculture and mining.
"The fund for the program is taken from the province's next year budget," NTB Governor M. Zainul Majdi said here Sunday.
The scheme of the payment for the scholarship program has been set by a team with the assistance of a consultant from Deutsche Gesellt Chaft Fur Technice Zusammenrtbert (GTZ) or German Technical Cooperation.
The scheme is the follow up of the Governor's and Vice Governor's priority program for 2008 to 2013 periode -- by improving the education and health service.
"The program is aimed to support the NTB youth, so in the future they can manage the superior sectors well," Majdi said.
Meanwhile, NTB Regional Representatives Council (DPD) member H. Harun Al Rasyid said everyone must support the program.
"It is not only a breakthrough program to motivate the youths to finish their higher education, but also a program designed to prepare human resources we can rely on," Rasyid said.
"All the scholars given the scholarship will manage NTB's superior sectors so it can compete nationally as well as internationally," said Rasyid.
