Larijani met with the Syrian president on Friday. However, the details of their meeting were not released.
Before leaving Tehran for Damascus on the same day, Larijani told reporters, “I am traveling to Syria for consultations about regional issues. A conference was held in Iran to help resolve the Syrian issue, and we hope that there is a clear path toward the resolution of the Syrian problem.”
