AZERBAIJAN`S AVERAGE ANNUAL INCOME TRIPLED OVER PAST FIVE YEARS, ELMAN RUSTAMOV
Baku, 24 0ctober ,(AzerTAj) Average annual income tripled in Azerbaijan over the
past five years, Chairman of IBA`s Board of Directors Elman Rustamov said at the
International Banking Conference of CIS countries entitled “Financial Markets of CIS
countries: development and integration”.
Mr. Rustamov underlined that during this period, state budget increased 9-fold,
state investments 33-fold, strategic currency reserves 11-fold, export 8-fold and
revenues from non-oil sector doubled. A part of the investments made in the
country`s economy falls to the share of Azerbaijan government, he said. Mr. Rustamov
also noted that Azerbaijan`s external debt makes up 16 percent of the country`s GDP.
