BUKIT ASAM'S NET PROFIT JUMPS 150 PCT
Jakarta, Oct 24 (ANTARA) - Publicly-listed coal mining company PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) in the first nine months of 2008 posted a net profit of Rp1.321 trillion, jumping 150 percent from Rp760 billion in the same period last year.
Sales in the January-September 2008 period climbed 65 percent to Rp4.967 trillion from Rp3.011 trillion in the same period last year, according to the company's financial statement published on Friday.
Operating profit until the third quarter of 2008 jumped 167 percent to Rp1.768 trillion from Rp662.002 billion in the corresponding period last year.
The company's total assets in the month ended on September 30 meanwhile jumped to Rp5.288 trillion from the same period last year when the figure was Rp3.602 trillion.
