GERMAN MPs MEET AZERI MINISTER OF LABOR AND SOCIAL PROTECTION OF POPULATION
Baku, 23 0ctober ,(AzerTAj)Members of the German Bundestag from Social-Democratic Party (SPD) parliamentary group Uta Zapf and Steffen Reiche have today met with Azerbaijan`s Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Fizuli Alakbarov as part of their trip to the country.
The Azeri Minister said the two countries have high-level relations in all spheres,
including social protection. Alakbarov spoke of projects his country had realized to
solve social problems. According to him, more than 740,000 jobs had been opened
across the country in recent years, and jobless rate fell to 6. 6 percent, while
poverty to 15 percent.
The Minister noted the importance of exchanging experience in social protection,
including regulation of migration.
Steffen Reiche said he had eye-witnessed all-round development in Azerbaijan, which
he described as the most developed country in the South Caucasus. He highly praised
the 15 October presidential election, praising it as fair and democratic.
